Helen Dymond, age 48, was last seen walking south on CR 476 after leaving the Tilden Township Club, a private social club located in National Mine, Michigan, on June 28, 1981.

Helen is believed to have been wearing blue jeans, a purple jacket, moccasins, and prescription glasses. She may also have had some change in her possession.

Subsequent search and rescue efforts, and investigations, by a number of agencies failed to turn up any trace of Helen:

  • MSP K-9 team
  • MSP Crime Laboratory
  • MSP Behavioral Science Section
  • Marquette County Sheriff's Office deputies
  • Marquette County Search and Rescue
  • Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) airplane
  • Local divers
  • Family, friends, and community volunteers

If you know anything about Helen Dymond's whereabouts, or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, please report it to the Dymond Family as soon as possible.

A 26-year veteran Detective/Sergeant with the Michigan State Police (MSP), Michael holds a Ph.D. from Wayne State University, and is certified by the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) as a SAR Tech I and SAR Tech Field Team Leader (FTL), the top two, field-deployable, search-and-rescue certifications offered by NASAR.

MibSAR is a small, Long Range Special Operations Group (LRSOG) based along the south shore of Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. LRSOG search-and-recovery operators are dedicated to investigating select unsolved missing-person cases and homicide cold cases in the remote bush between the Great Lakes in northern Michigan, USA, and the Arctic Ocean’s Lower Hudson Bay in Ontario, Canada.
